Sopra Banking Software is currently seeking a Solution Architect to join our professional services team, this role forms an integral part of Sopra Banking Software's professional services offering.

The Solution Architect will work with customers UK wideand therefore flexibility in travel from site to site is essential.

You should also be an excellent communicator, comfortable in a customer and key stakeholder facing role, and have experience of large scale projects ideally within the financial services sector.

The Solution Architect is a pivotal link between the Research and Development teams and the professional services offering to key UK retail banking customers.

We offer flexible hybrid working model of 2 days in office and 3 days working from home. All employees are supported to work from home with DSE assessments and IT equipment where required to be fully productive when remote working. _

Salary:
Circa £55k

Solution Architect Duties:

Working with the Senior/Lead Solution Architect, the Solution Architect will:

Lead solution design for client delivery projects taking ownership of technical design decisions.
Manage client relationships at a technical level, shaping the overall solution from the initial engagement with clients, as well as overseeing technical delivery.
Assist project and programme managers to direct the technical designs and deliveries.
Maintain an Architecture vision.
Maintain a detailed understanding of the Sopra solutions, including both the underlying technology platform and functional capabilities.
Demonstrate how the Sopra Solutions integrate into the client IT estate.
Analyse requirements covering the business process, technical environment and system integrations.
Create and maintain project artefacts such as the Solution Overview, Infrastructure Architecture Technical scope.
Take into account operational and infrastructure requirements in the solution.
Work with the development teams on transversally coherent architectural solutions.
Research and prototype new technologies.

Solution Architect Requirements:

In order to flourish in this role, you will need the following:

Working experience in multiple IT areas
Able to communicate, both written and verbal, effectively across the organisation and client base to technical and nontechnical audiences
Proficient at reviewing and improving processes
Strong commercial instinct
Being able to find problems, provide the solution and prioritise its importance
Ability to communicate the business benefits for a given technical solution
Excellent client management skills, particularly in a technical arena
Deep understanding of governing technical projects
Ability to motivate a team in a collaborative environment
Experience leading complex client delivery programmes involving multiple simultaneous workstreams.
Experience in Financial Services, Cloud Migration or Oracle Technologies would be beneficial but not essential.
