    Job Summary:

    Are you detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance? We're seeking a Governance Officer to join the team and support the Deputy Trust Secretary and Trust Secretary in ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, legislation, and the Trust Constitution.

    As the Governance Officer, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating efficient and effective meetings of the Board Sub-committees, providing comprehensive administrative support including minute taking, and serving as a key liaison for Committee members.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Board Sub-committees, demonstrating autonomy and initiative in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders including the Chair, Non-Executive Directors, Chief Executive, Executive Directors, and external partners to ensure seamless governance processes.
    • Organize and plan the workload of Trust Board Sub-Committees, managing meeting arrangements and ensuring availability of relevant materials.
    • Develop forward planning documentation such as annual work plans for Board Sub-committees, aligning with statutory requirements and committee terms of reference.
    • Support the implementation of administrative arrangements that optimize the efficiency of Board Sub-committees.
    • Assist in reporting to the Board and Sub-Committees, including contributing to the production of the Trust Annual Report and organizing the Trust Annual Member/General Meeting.
    • Provide cover for other members of the Trust Secretary team during periods of absence.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in a governance or administrative role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex workflows and adjust to changing situations.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
    • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks, including minute taking.
    • Flexibility to work cross-site and from home as required.
