    Description

    This new project is part of the PDA strategy with Newham for 5 phases of development, this new project will be referred to as HQ4.

    With our current project on the adjacent site HQ3 this compliments our work in the Newham area. This development to involve student housing over retail and leisure/workspace facilities.

    The Façade will consist of Clay bricks on the ground floor and panelised brick slip system on the upper floors.


    Job Purpose and Scope:
    Manage interface with design and engineering teams and lead a subject to completion. Clarify the technical information, scope of works and interfaces with other trades during the procurement phase. Manage and coordinate all façade activities, in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and Programme.

    Manage the costs associated with the works and any variations, should they arise, in liaison with the Site Quantity Surveyors.

    Lead weekly progress meetings and produce the required timeline of works / action points / 3-week look ahead programme. Manage the overall façade completion programme.


    Essential Criteria:
    Extensive experience in managing facades projects and able to demonstrate a proven track record
    Solid understanding of façade, design and detailing
    Substantial knowledge of façade materials, methods of manufacture and installation, materials and testing
    Proven experience with managing all phases façade packages
    Good knowledge of façade production and installation processes including interfacing with other trades.

    Accountabilities and Key Tasks:
    Assist the Project Lead and Project Manager in the delivery of the Project. Be a package manager for all external envelope packages. Manage Health and Safety, Quality, Programme, Look-ahead forecast, Package costs, Variations. Interface with design and engineering teams and lead a subject to completion. Control of subcontractors' resources. Liaison with the Client and their agents.
