Hackney Council is looking for a Project Support Administrator with excellent organisational skills to coordinate a new team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our DLO team, working to make Hackney a safer place for everyone.

Following the Grenfell fire tragedy, we have put in place extra resources to ensure safety for our residents. Housing is a top priority in Hackney. Inner London is experiencing intense pressure on housing stock with competing demands on space, a growing population and rising prices. Hackney Council manages over 30,000 properties across the borough. Our team works hard to create safe, affordable homes for people who need them.

Day to day you will provide a variety of admin support for our risk assessors: managing diaries, drafting letters and responding to enquiries. You will keep track of risk assessments, distributing work among the team and monitoring progress.

We need someone with an excellent approach to customer service. Someone who can build solid working relationships with a variety of people. You will be liaising directly with residents and others, mostly over the phone but also working face to face. You will need a professional yet sensitive approach to prioritise a range of issues and a competing workload.

We must have a good track record as an administrator, in return you will get the chance to put in place systems and procedures for a new team and gain valuable experience of housing management.

There is no better place to work in London than Hackney; we have great pride in our borough, our communities, and our services. Hackney is one of London's most vibrant and diverse boroughs. It's one of the most sought after areas to live in London with good schools, parks and local amenities, as well as great transport links and vibrant and diverse communities.
