Financial Controller - Central London (Hybrid) - £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus
My client are a very successful business within a large and well known international parent company, and they are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to support the entities Head of Finance.
The successful person will be responsible for controlling the financial accounts and providing key financial data to management and key stakeholders.
The Financial Controller with have line management responsibility of 3 to start, and grow the team and role to a higher number in line with business growth.
The Financial Controller will:
- Assist the Head of Finance in preparing financial reporting, P&L and reviewing variances for business unit management
- Interpret and present financial analysis in a persuasive format, providing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders to inform and influence decisions
- Act as a financial business partner for key stakeholders within the SLT and external investors
- Manage yearend accounting and control processes to meet statutory requirements
- Oversee the preparation of monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts in a timely and accurate manner
- Produce performance indicator reports and analysis, as well as adhoc reports and investigations, as required by management
- Prepares and submits monthly cash flow forecasts and budgets for the business unit
- Liaise with and manages external auditors
- Appraise financial risk to inform decisions
- Appraise investment proposals associated with new products and capital expenditure
- Manage a team to develop their skills, conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to ensure objectives are met and procedures
- Fully Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5 years' experience is desirable (QBE also considered)
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and management accounts processes
- Strong understanding of Excel and experience working on SAP
- Strong communication skills with an ability to build positive relationships at all levels
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a clear vision for team development
- Line Management Experience
