    The Consumer Customer Facing Unit (CFU) delivers over £10bn of revenue and £2.4bn of EBITDA for BT Group.

    The CFU has three consumer brands; EE, BT and Plusnet - and numerous product lines including Landline, Broadband, Mobile, TV and Sport.

    The Commercial Finance team is part of the Finance function within the Consumer CFU and has three key functions;

    Provide Finance Business Partnering support to the Consumer CFU in relation to £10bn of Revenue and £5bn of direct margin.

    This includes support for marketing team and the trading team.
    Evaluate, review, challenge and agree trading decisions in action ensuring that consumer delivers it volume and value targets.

    Stewardship of the Revenue and Direct Margin including business cases, actuals, commercial analysis, forecasting and ensuring key KPIs and lead indicators are understood throughout the business.

    This role is key to providing commercial insight for Roaming from both a wholesale perspective (inbound revenue and outbound costs) and a customer billing perspective.

    Working closely with stakeholders in Wholesale, marketing and the finance business partner team. This role should also be the key interface working on important ad hoc projects, predictive analytics and other initiatives, coordinating them across the entire Commercial finance team

    Produce weekly forecasting that support the business/ trading teams in understanding weekly performance and its impact on monthly & quarterly outcomes, which in turn will support decision making.

    At month end, interpret financial performance vs. target and produce detailed variance analysis and explanations that support the business in understanding the drivers affecting performance.
    Deliver analysis on specific "hot topics" and deep dives e.g. on Value drivers.

    Develop & implement detailed planning models that enable the business to project/forecast its revenue and costs by their different drivers.

    Work with Finance colleagues to ensure accurate and consistent messaging of the Roaming financial position

    Work closely with Finance colleagues to ensure that systems, databases & processes are effective and efficient specifically focusing on relationship with Financial Management & Control team.

    Ad hoc commercial analysis

    Accountable for partnering with the business, ensuring all business activities are carried out in accordance with local legislative requirements, which enhance and protect BT and EE for now and the future.

    Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills - ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making
    Proven ability to influence and build key relationships with appropriate business partners

    Communication skills - translating complex financial outcomes to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders through both oral and written communication.

    Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment.
    Able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems
    Experience of budget management, planning & forecasting and financial business partnering desirable
