A family owned business established in the 80's, with 40 branches nationally, serving a range of sectors from Social Housing, Local Authorities, Education, Healthcare and many more.


A highly ambitious business who turnover in excess of £170m, looking to continue their significant growth whilst maintaining their family run culture.


The role - Business Development Manager

Managing - East Anglia / Essex

  • Target/Secure new business in line with Sales strategy set by the Sales Director. Account manage key clients to develop and grow the business.
  • Build and maintain relationships by keeping in regular contact with key clients.
  • Where agreed provide client entertainment; Lunch, dinner, events etc as agreed by Head of Sales.
  • Use ERP system daily to plan calls/follow ups and to log information such as opportunities and quotes. You are expected to ensure accuracy of your own ERP.
  • Complete a Monthly Sales Report including a branch review with your BM.
  • Support the bid team as a priority if/when required to ensure bids submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide Social Media input to the Digital Marketing Coordinator.
  • Work with BM's on client info requests, complaints and queries.
  • Build relationships with supply chain partners as instructed.
  • Liaise with your Line Manager and IT Team to understand and undertake required training in our Core Dynamics Central IT system and other software pertaining to your role.

Package
£45,000, bonus potential, car allowance, life assurance, pension


What we need from you?

  • Ideally has experience in selling services to Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Education, Health, Commercial and Retail & Leisure Sectors
  • Ideally has experience in developing new business and account management, managing multiple clients
  • Analytical skills
