The post holder will be part of the ICT EPR Transformation team.


There is a requirement to procure and implement an e-prescribing system for oncology services at Imperial Healthcare Trust London (ICHT); North West University Trust (LNWUT); Chelwest Hospital Trust (CWT) and The Hillingdon Hospital Foundation Trust (THHFT).

Prescribing oncological drugs via an e-system is an NHSE contractual requirement. An integrated oncology information system manages all aspects of a chemotherapy programme, from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up. It provides a single database of patient data, clinical regimens, and pharmacy information.

The post holder will be responsible for the change management and implementation elements of the Trust's Oncology e-prescribing system, in adherence to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) ICT strategy.

Instigate and maintain professional change management standards as appropriate, the post holder will manage the transformation programme within time and scope tolerances, ensuring congruence and alignment with other projects and service development initiatives.

The post holder must at all times ensure consistency with the aims and requirements of internal and external bodies, for example senior clinicians, end users, NHS bodies and user groups, third party suppliers and the Health and Social Care Information Centre.


  • Lead the EPR transformation agenda in conjunction with the clinical leads and project teams ensuring organisational readiness in the division. Agree, baseline and track the KPIs for organisation readiness
  • Support the project in reporting progress through the Governance Structure and communicating with the division and trust stakeholders
  • Support sharing best practice and experience in order to have a consistently high quality delivery approach
  • Identify, track and support the division realise the extensive benefits available through the EPR and changed in working practices. Agree owners, baseline and plan for success.
  • Liaise with project managers to map current information flows within each clinical area. Draw up new process maps as part of the preparation of clinical areas for the transition to new ways of working. Document and manage the implementation of new information flows, system processes and business practices
  • Analyse the impact of new processes on clinical areas, working closely with identified change leads in each area. This may include requirements for training, equipment or amendments to current job roles and responsibilities. Ensure these requirements are met through the relevant project within the programme
