About The Role:

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this is a senior position that will be managing high profile suppliers and contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage contract renewals through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead the evaluation of optimal sourcing and pricing options, taking into consideration outsourcing, hybrid and insourcing models.
  • Cocreation of Strategic Supplier Strategies with stakeholders.
  • Conducting vendor/market intelligence gathering activities to be highly aware of the suppliers' future plans, financial performance and market positioning.
  • Identify, manage and minimise/mitigate supplier and contractual risk through inlife contract management activities.
  • Operating as the Procurement single point of contact for stakeholders and support with supplier disputes or poor supplier performance.
  • Lead the development of vendor specific management/negotiation plans.
  • Lead the procurement of new services (tender process, negotiating with suppliers, drafting contracts and schedules) proving commerciality and value for money.
  • Collaborating closely with Business Risk, IT Security, Architecture, PMO and Legal Services.
  • Support the team with business engagement activities to raise the team profile.

About the team:


The Procurement team was set up in October 2023 and sits within the Business Risk reporting line as part of the wider Finance Division.


Previously there was no centralised team and only an IT Procurement team reporting into IT, so the remit has expanded which is positive.

It is an exciting time to join as part of a new team as we aspire to be a best-in-class function.

About You:

  • Strong negotiation experience in maximising the value returned to the business.
  • Enjoys working within a matrix management environment. Relevant industry, Legal or MCIPS qualification or working towards this.
