    About The Role

    How can we design a future of mobility that is accessible to everyone?

    What solutions will transform how we get from A to B in the future?

    How can we bridge the transport accessibility gap – where people with disabilities take 38% fewer trips than those without?

    Interested helping us find the answer to these questions, and impacting the lives of 700,000 people across the UK? If so, the Innovation team at Motability Operations wants to hear from you.

    We are facing unprecedented change and disruption in the tech and mobility sectors. Our Innovation team is looking to address the needs of our customers as well as identify new growth opportunities to help shape the future of the Motability Scheme.

    A placement in our Innovation division will give you unique exposure into the innovation lifecycle at Motability Operations, from the development of external partnerships to the design and implementation of pilots that test new and emerging products and solutions with customers.

    About You

    You'll need to be on track to gain a minimum 2:1 degree (in any subject) to qualify for this Placement Programme. We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Team players, eager to get involved and proactive in making the most of every opportunity
  • Confident presenter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have good commercial awareness
  • Enthusiastic 'can do' attitude, passionate about your personal and professional development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data

    Motability Operations is a unique organisation, virtually one of a kind. We combine a strong sense of purpose with a real commercial edge to ensure we provide the best possible worry-free mobility solutions to over 700,000 customers and their families across the UK. Customers exchange their higher rate mobility allowance to lease a range of affordable vehicles (cars, wheelchair accessible vehicles, scooters, and powered wheelchairs) with insurance, maintenance and breakdown assistance included. We are the largest car fleet operator in the UK (purchasing around 13% of all the new cars sold in the UK) and work with a network of around 5,000 car dealers and all the major manufacturers. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service, achieving an independently verified customer satisfaction rating of 9.6 out of 10.
