About the role:_

This is an exciting opportunity to work at a friendly local primary school based in BS41, Bristol.

I am working on behalf of the school to find a creative & enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for their bubbly Reception class.

You will be working full time in this role, Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30pm.


Your role will involve working 1:1 or in a small group, supporting children with their education, behavioural and social development, helping children who find it difficult to learn because they have dyslexia or Special educational needs.


You will need to be committed to making a difference and have the enthusiasm to encourage the child to achieve beyond their potential.

You will help the children engage in lessons & activities, listen to them read & play numeracy games.

During the role you will make sure the children understand the instructions given and ensuring they feel comfortable and confident when completing tasks.


You will need excellent written & verbal communication skills as you will be working closely with other LSAs and the class teacher.

You will need to communicate well with the children to help them develop their speech, you will be encouraging the children to communicate.


As part of the role you will be speaking with the parents & guardians often, when greeting them at drop off/pick up times & keeping them up to date with their child's progress.


In the classroom you will be assisting the teacher to plan learning activities, prepare learning materials, complete records, and carry out administrative tasks.

You will also be a calm person who is able to positively manage challenging behaviour including supporting the Teacher in managing class behaviour.

Salary:
£65.00-£80.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
Learning Support Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
