    Senior Finance Business Partner

    Altum Consulting are pleased to working exclusively with a prestigious publishing house based in London to secure a commercial-driven Finance Business Partner. The role reports directly to the Group Financial Controller and is responsible for preparing reporting for the Group's SLT and Board on performance against budget and prior year, as well as preparing presentations on the budget, re-forecasts and 5 year strategic plan.

    Our client requires a business partner who is highly successful at managing relationships with senior stakeholders. There is an opportunity to be involved in complex project work and modelling to help support the business to deliver its strategy.

    Key Requirements,

    • Preparing monthly reporting packs for the Group's SLT and Board, summarising performance against budget and prior year.
    • Managing forecasting for central functions and Group related matters (interest, bonus schemes, share options, inter company, inter divisional allocations).
    • Preparing presentations for the Group's SLT and Board on budget, re-forecasts and 5 year strategic plans.
    • Managing the Group's financial calendar and communications with stakeholders of the budget, re-forecast and strategic plans to ensure that inputs are delivered on a timely basis.
    • To drive improvements in the forecasting processes, focusing on process efficiencies and automation.
    • Business partner for central functions, including HR, IT, finance, legal and global matters of Supply Chain and Production.
    • To work with the Group Finance Director and members of the Executive Committee as required on key projects, including complex modelling.
    • Business support and liaison with senior management with ad-hoc analysis requests, including preparation of business cases.
    • Maintain and develop management reporting and KPIs.
    • Going concern and viability modelling to assess the cash and liquidity position of the Group under downside scenarios, including covenants compliance.
    • Assist with the delivery of the Year End and Interim external results, announcements and City presentations.
    • Assist with data governance and improving data quality to be able to drive insights.
    • Opportunity to be involved in acquisitions, with involvement in financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

    Requirements,

    • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
    • Experience of business partnering with senior stakeholders to help deliver on business objectives.
    • Experience of delivering forecasts in a high pressure, commercial environment.
    • Demonstrable experience of delivering process and systems improvements.
    • Able to identify and raise risks, threats and opportunities
    • Able to develop successful relationships with senior staff across the Group.
    • Proactive, energetic, pragmatic and hardworking.
    • Highly resilient and adaptable - able to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Good communication skills, verbal and written, and ability to present financial information in a manner that can be understood by all recipients
