The Role:

As a Pyspark Engineer, you will play a crucial role within an Agile team, focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Use your ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Develop secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
• Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Provide guidance through leading, mentoring and coaching a team of software engineers.

Your Profile:

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Expertise in Python & PySpark.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
• Practical cloud native experience.
• Ability of managing expectations of non-technical stakeholders.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with AWS via hands on experience or certification.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Familiarity with BASEL regulatory reporting framework.
• Familiarity with engineering in a regulatory controlled environment.
