    Summary of Role:

    The Account Executive position at The Bike Storage Company is a diverse, hands-on opportunity for generating new business, identifying new opportunities of revenue growth, maintaining and developing existing client relationships as well as assisting with the commercial and operational processes of the wider team. Working within our sales team, there is plenty of opportunity to progress for the correct candidate.

    Typical Daily Tasks:

    • Inbound Sales activities – calling, emailing, and consulting with new customers to ascertain their current and potential requirement for cycle storage and end of trip facilities, based upon inbound sales enquiries.
    • Assisting the wider sales team with preparation of quotations and lead generation; often liaising with our in-house Marketing & Design departments to prepare a client specific proposal, to achieve best possible chance of conversion.
    • Account Management – maintain contact with and develop lasting relationships with both new and existing clients; customer retention is vitally important to ensure success and growth within the role.
    • Processing orders – Handing over of project specific information to the Operations & Design teams, whilst keeping a keen eye on progress and maintaining direct communication with the clients.
    • Regularly following up quotations issued to understand any developments or potential change to requirements, to ensure best possible understanding of the client's needs.
    • Identify new opportunities of growth to the company to drive revenue growth through new products or areas of business operation.
    • Supplier relationships - monitor status of existing projects with relevant supply chain to ensure contract specific programme dates are met, and clients happy.
    • Feedback client responses to Management regarding price, service, quality, and any issues encountered throughout the process.
    • Ad hoc commercial and operational related tasks to assist with the general day-to-day running of the company.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Field & respond to new inbound sales enquiries, from initial contact to completion.
    • Liaise with existing Client Accounts, keeping regular contact to maintain longstanding relationships.
    • Proactively seek out new opportunities with use of company research software Barbour ABI
    • Assist the wider sales team with processing of new orders, liaising with Design & Operational teams prior to production.
    • Assist in the day to day running of the company, with general Ad hoc tasks where required.
    • Achieving agreed KPI's measuring Sales Revenue, Profitability, Customer Retention & client satisfaction.

    Location:

    Office based role at our office – 306 Harbour Yard, London, SW10 0XD, with occasional requirements to carry out face-to-face on-site meetings with clients.

    Remuneration:

    • On Target Earnings of £35,000 per annum- including monthly commission & bonuses.
    • Opportunity to exceed OTE earnings with 'over-target' bonus'.
    • Additional annual performance related bonus related to KPI performance.

    Holiday Allowance:

    • 31 Days holiday, including UK National Bank Holidays.

    Working Hours:

    • 9am-5:30pm Monday – Friday.

    Experience:

    • 6 Months minimum of sales experience.
    • Construction related experience is a benefit, but not essential.

    Education:

    • A-Level or equivalent (required)
