Big Creative Training is a well-established and expanding creative industry training provider with a long track record of delivering positive outcomes for learners.
Our mission is to improve the lives of young people through high quality training and creative industry experiences.We have more than 400 young people per year going through our vocational training programmes including apprenticeships, and they all take qualifications in maths and English.
We have great industry links and work with over 100 creative sector employers and SMEs.Job summary and purpose
To source, identify and gain suitable work placement opportunities for students, to include coordination, monitoring and evaluation of these work placements.
Job responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate an agreed caseload of students to source, plan, monitor and evaluate impactful and meaningful work placements by:
- Liaising with the relevant curriculum based staff in order to ensure forward planning of work placements
- Assist in the learning activities so that students are prepared for their Work Placement.
- Match students with employers using information gained from curriculum based staff and Careers team
- Respond to first line enquiries from employers, students and parents/guardians regarding placements
- Keep accurate records of Work Placements, ensuring there is sufficient evidence to meet the funding requirements
- Monitor student progress and visit students throughout their work placements
- In collaboration with Curriculum Teams and the Careers Team, establish and maintain effective productive working relationships with employers and their staff.
- Act as a conduit between employers and the college ensuring that all business leads are referred to the appropriate college nominee and the college is kept informed on trends and business requirements.
- Work as part of the wider Careers Team, to include participation in meetings, planning activities and process development.
- Provide cover throughout the wider team where necessary.
- Adhere to all College policies including the current data protection act and computer misuse act treating all data as confidential.
- Advise the Careers Manager of any key issues that are or could impact
- Be responsible for own health and safety at work and comply with the College's health and safety policy at all times.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the Careers Manager.
Salary and days of work

£15,000 per annum (actual Pro Rata Salary) FTE of £25,000
- We offer
22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
