    Job Description

    The role sits within LGIMs Product Team with a specific focus on "PMC" which is an entity which offers a broad range of funds through its unit-linked life insurance structure. PMCs funds are exclusively utilised by institutional pension schemes, both defined benefit and defined contribution, in relation to pension assets. It has an extensive range of funds invested across a wide range of asset classes, asset types and strategies. The role is to support PMC from a broad governance perspective covering both fund and corporate requirements ensuring that Product activities are carried out consistently with business ethics, values and stakeholder requirements at defined levels of risk.

    The role reports to the Head of PMC Product & Platform. The role holder will be responsible for a range of activities relating to PMC from a broad governance perspective including, but not limited to;
  • Providing support for other LGIM teams with guidance in relation to PMC on error resolution, input into liquidity events, assistance in the resolution of other issues and general query resolution,
  • Assessing and providing technical input into the implications of new funds and amendments on the operating model or risk appetite of PMC,
  • Maintaining a suite of fund literature, guidelines and policies and assisting with periodic reviews of the PMC fund range,
  • Producing materials for, and undertaking follow-up actions raised by, product governance committees, PMC executive committees and boards,
  • Planning, undertaking and taking ownership of specific governance led projects relating to PMC issues and/or contributing to wider business projects as a PMC subject matter expert
    Qualifications
  • Previous experience in launching, operating, closing and amending pooled investment funds
  • Product life cycle management
  • Risk and governance frameworks
  • Experience in senior stakeholder engagement; ability to influence and engage at all levels across the firm and externally (suppliers and Boards etc.)
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail and seeks continual improvement and efficiency in delivery of processes
  • Cares about doing the right thing and takes ownership to see things through to conclusion
  • Line management experience or a desire to manage a small team
