The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day management of the service, including supporting the process of care quality assurance to the wider NHS Tayside maternity service, contributing to local and service wide reviews, managing the performance and attendance of the team and ensuring an environment of continual improvement and reflective practice.


Perth CMU is a Free-Standing Midwife Led Birth Unit within Perth Royal Infirmary and is the hub for all midwifery and support staff who travel throughout Perth and Kinross.


We are looking for an individual who can guide the teams through change and use innovative approaches to realise the ambitions of Scotland's 5 year forward plan for maternity and neonatal services (Best Start).

The successful applicants will work closely with maternity, neonatal and other colleagues from across NHS Tayside, our Health and Social Care and 3rd sector partners and the women and families who use our service.


The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9-5pm with one day per week worked within Ninewells Hospital, contributing to the NHS Tayside Maternity Coordinator rota.
