Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for creating fabulous documents and materials to join our talented in-house design team as a Client Materials Designer.

As owners of the visual brand, our design team develop and deliver creative content across the business, including marketing collateral, internal communications, UI, as well as design for proposals, pitches and client materials.

The client materials designer will work closely with the team and a designated business area(s) to help create engaging, high-quality materials that are on brand and help deliver the excellent customer experience we strive for across all that we do.


What will your role look like?

  • Designing and formatting compelling and impactful client materials (for example advice papers, reports, presentations, updates) that are clientcentric, engaging and on brand, maintaining the integrity of Hymans Robertson's corporate visual identity.
  • Creating, managing, and coordinating Microsoft Office documents and presentations to a high standard, promoting best practice and driving innovation in the use of our templates.
  • Acting as a champion and advocate for excellent standards in all materials produced for clients.
  • Producing and maintaining relevant graphics within Microsoft packages, for inclusion in presentations and Word documents, both developing proactively and reinterpreting preexisting content.
  • Driving innovation in format of collateral. Transforming ordinary presentations into engaging experiences.
  • Upholding brand guidelines and having a strong knowledge of design standards.
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments to help the business make better use of datavisualisation techniques.
  • Working with consultants, analysts and inhouse copywriters to make our client advice papers and presentations succinct and engaging.
  • Building productive relationships with colleagues in marketing and other stakeholders across the business.
  • When required, liaising with external print and production providers.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Advanced desktop publishing software skills in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • An expert in Microsoft packages, e.g. confidence in creating documents/graphics in Word and PowerPoint, as well as creating and styling charts in Excel. Knowledge of building templates within Word and PowerPoint an advantage.
  • Knowledge of visual accessibility standards in design an advantage.
  • Additional skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign an advantage.
  • Some experience of working in professional and financial services would be nice to have.
