    Element have an opportunity for a Software Asset Manager, who will be required to govern, manage, execute and evolve Element's Software Asset and growing SaaS Management function across all aspects of the software asset lifecycle including licence entitlement tracking, forecasting, usage identification and monitoring, optimisation, reusing and termination.

    This will report directly to the Global Head of Service Management.

    Core ResponsibilitiesReview the existing SAM function and tooling and ensure it remains fit for purpose against the growing usage of SaaS.

    If required lead on the selection and set up of a suitable toolkit to address any gaps in tooling capabilityWork with governance, technology, procurement, finance and legal to propose updated software use policies that are appropriate for our increasing SaaS usageProvide a licence advisory and governance service to the business technology teamsOwn, operate and maintain our Software Asset Management tooling and integrations of data from non-SAM-owned sources, and manage our tooling vendorReview and approve ad-hoc end user software deployment requestsImpact assesses infrastructure change requests against relevant licensing termsDeliver regular compliance statements and present these to senior stakeholders, making recommendations for cost savings and cost avoidanceTake the lead role in any software audits and licence validation requestsSupport the procurement and relevant product teams by advising on true-ups / true-downs / termination of licence and support agreements as part of the renewals processConduct licence optimisation, reusing and management including consolidation exercisesKeep up to date to an expert level, multi-vendor licensing knowledge, and share this knowledge with stakeholders and colleaguesSkills / QualificationsDetailed licensing knowledge including how licence compliance is calculated and managed with vendors including, but not limited to: Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Citrix, VMWare, Oracle and SalesforceDeep understanding and comprehensive exposure to complex server licensing environments including Data Centres, DR, Virtualisation and CloudExcellent SAM knowledge particularly around standards such as ISO 19770 and ITIL v3Ability to understand software contracts, deployment reports and licensing grants in order to produce and interpret licensing compliance statementsExtensive experience working within the software licensing industryCompany OverviewElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
