    Job Summary

    To provide a comprehensive and professional HR service to the business ensuring best practice on issues relating to employment, recruitment, Health and Safety, Training & Development, benefits and employee relations to meet the demands of the business. The deputy HR Manager will help coordinate implementation of services, policies, and programs; reports to the Head of HR; and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues. The role is varied, incorporating the full range of activities for an EMEA HR department; ER and Projects, Benefits, Recruitment and L&D. We're looking for someone with a true passion for people who enjoys working in a busy fast past role.

    You will work closely with the Head of HR to help/assist lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

    Role overview:

    • Work with, and participate in resolution of complex employee relations issues; including conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
    • Support robust end to end EMEA recruitment and onboarding process.
    • work collaboratively with management anticipating HR-related needs, developing integrated solutions.
    • Building strong working relationships across the organisation, delivering value-added service to both management and employees.
    • Work with line management, providing HR guidance and support when appropriate.
    • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    • Work with Head of HR on policy guidance and interpretation.
    • Ability & Understanding in dealing with complex overseas contracts

    Primary duties include but are not limited to:

    • supporting and advising the management team and employees of the business on day to day/ or ongoing HR issues
    • recruitment and staffing, working with Head of HR and HR assistant on review and updating of job descriptions and adverts, updating social media, conducting interviews and screening, promoting the business and culture, new employee paperwork, apprenticeships.
    • employee orientation, development, and training.
    • maintaining employee records, updating the HR systems
    • performance management and improvement systems
    • employment and compliance in line with employment & health and safety legislation
    • interpretation of employment legislation in order to develop and document policies.
    • training administration, training needs planning

    • Assisting with HR reports i.e. headcount, turnover, sickness, appraisals, probationary reviews, contract reviews etc.

    • HR Documents, forms, policies/legislation, job descriptions
    • Maternity counselling
    • Assisting on the disciplinary process and procedure when necessary
    • Appraisals/Probationary Reviews/Performance Management

    Experience/Knowledge

    • 5+ years working in HR at HR Business Partner/advisor Level
    • Experience of working in an ISO environment desirable
    • Experience in dealing with complex overseas employment contracts.
    • Experience managing the full functions and processes of a HR department
