    About the role
    As an Accountancy Apprenticeship Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, guidance, and support to apprentices enrolled in the accountancy apprenticeship program. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor and educate apprentices throughout their learning journey.

    Essential Responsibilities [The below listed tasks/responsibilities are not exhaustive:]

  • Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive teaching materials in line with the accountancy apprenticeship curriculum, ensuring content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Instructional Support: Provide structured and effective instruction, guidance, and mentoring to apprentices, helping them grasp complex accounting concepts and practical applications.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Design and administer assessments to evaluate apprentices progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their learning and development.
  • Individualized Support: Offer personalized support to apprentices, addressing their specific learning needs, challenges, and goals to maximize their learning outcomes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress, attendance, and performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including program coordinators, other tutors, and administrative staff, to enhance the overall apprenticeship experience and program effectiveness.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and teaching methodologies to continuously improve teaching techniques and curriculum content.
  • Qualifications

  • Qualified in and able to deliver AAT qualifications up to level 3.
  • TAQA / CAVA or equivalent assessing work based learning qualification.
  • Maths & English (or equivalent).
  • AAT qualification at level 3.
  • Proven experience in managing the full apprenticeship learner journey; Initial assessment, IAG, teaching-learning assessment.
  • Experience / knowledge using e-portfolio system such as SMART assessor.
  • Must be passionate about working with people and committed to raising standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork and be able to build and sustain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of funding streams and funding requirements for the delivery of apprenticeship programmes.
