**40 Hours per week Between 8:30am - 6pm

5 minute walk from Alderley train station.**As an Accounts Assistant in the Banking Team, you will be a key member of the Group's Finance team and will play a key part in producing and maintaining accurate and timely financial data for the Group.

We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant in the Banking Team to provide crucial financial support to the business, ensuring all day to day and month end banking transactions are accounted for accurately and in a timely manner.


Role responsibilities

Working in a team of 2 Accounts Assistants, reporting to the Banking Team Leader, the team will be responsible for:

  • Processing bank postings for all bank accounts for c140 companies accurately and in a timely manner
  • Processing all bank transaction on sage 50/sage 200 accounting systems and reconciling balances
  • Posting credit card transaction accurately and reconciling to statements
  • Reconciling all bank accounts daily/weekly as required
  • Ensuring bank payments are made on time and accurately
  • Dealing with payment/bank accounts queries
  • Processing quarterly investor return bank payments
  • Providing information and support to other departments in the business, as required

Reporting
This role will report to the Banking Team Leader


Performance indicators include:

  • Number of bank accounts reconciled each month
  • Timeliness of bank recs (ie up to date daily or weekly/monthly)
  • Number of transactions processed
  • Accuracy of postings

Key Behaviours and Skills

  • Could be AAT qualified or training but not essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise

  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Be able to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements
  • Have worked in a high volume, multicompany environment
