    Experienced Trainer/Instructor
    Three Shires Ltd are specialist contractors to the Construction, Rail, Utilities, Highways, and Civil Infrastructure sectors.

    For over 20 years Three Shires has developed long standing relationships with the UK's leading House Builders, Construction Contractors, Civil Engineers, Developers, Environmental and Ecological Consultants.

    Our services include Ecological, Vegetation Clearance, Invasive Weed, Tree Protection, Site Hoarding and Security Fencing we also undertake all other aspects of site enablement.

    Three Shires Limited are looking to recruit an experienced Trainer/Instructor to support our team.

    You will be required to train our staff on the safe, efficient, and effective use of a wide variety of tractor based agricultural, forestry and plant equipment and implements used within our business.

    Applicants should have a broad range of practical experience in the use of tractor based agricultural, forestry and plant machinery and be capable of working on their own initiative, with an in-depth knowledge across this range of equipment.

    We are looking for an individual who can take newly certified machine drivers (CPCS, NPORS, FMO) and turn them into skilled operators.

    The work will be varied and interesting for the right candidate.

    Trainer/Instructor Job description:

    • To provide training of directly employed staff in the operation of agricultural, forestry and plant machinery/equipment
    • Provide necessary training, coaching, and mentoring to employees
    • Identify and action areas for improving individuals' skill levels
    • Training staff to operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with Health & Safety regulations
    • Teaching best practice, daily maintenance, and safety checks of equipment
    • Performing inspections of tractors and attachments
    • Happy to travel to conduct on-site training with the occasional need for overnight stay

    The successful Trainer/Instructor will have:

    • Ability to teach/mentor with good communication skills
    • Proven agricultural or forestry experience operating agricultural forestry plant/equipment
    • Experience performing preventative checks and maintenance on tractors and other agricultural, forestry and plant equipment
    • The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards
    • An ability to plan, document and report both verbally and in writing
    • Superb health and safety knowledge
    • Full UK Driver's Licence
    • CPCS card holder would be an advantage
    • Physically fit

    Circa. £40K, plus pension, 28 days paid holiday and vehicle for commuting to site.
