Our Graduate Programme runs for a period of 12 months giving successful graduates the opportunity to become a full time Xapien once the programme has concluded. This role would therefore be a 12 month contract.

Position overview

As a Finance Graduate Trainee at Xapo, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance, including accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and accounts payable. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to key finance initiatives while developing your skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Accounting and Control:
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Contribute to the analysis of financial data and trends.
• Assist in internal and external audit activities.
• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.
• Assist in data gathering and analysis to support financial decision-making.
• Aid in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
• Accounts Payable:
• Process invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor accounts and address inquiries from vendors.
• Assist in optimising accounts payable processes and procedures.
• Prepare reports on accounts payable ageing and cash flow projections.

Skills needed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel is a must.
• Other financial software will be considered a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in finance.
