We are looking to recruit a Claims and Inquests Assistant to join our legal services team.

The successful applicant will join a busy department which deals with the management of all claims for which UCLH is a potential Defendant and for inquests held for UCLH patients.


The post holder will work with the other band 5 postholder and the senior post holders, and will sometimes be required to cover some of the responsibilities of the other band 5 post holder during annual leave.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a high quality administrative support service to the claims and inquest department.


There is a large and complex case load and the post holder will have daily contact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.


The post holder will be expected to be primarily responsible for the accurate and complete copying of all medical records in line with the Civil Procedure Rules, GDPR and Data Protection Act.
