    As our Lead Lighting Artist, you will be responsible for driving the quality of the aesthetic and ambience of our games as well as leading the team. Lighting is critical to every aspect of content creation and can make or break the immersion of a game. As we aim to create memorable experiences for our players, we're looking for someone with an eye for detail and a passion for bringing worlds to life, helping connect everything through lighting and post-processing. You will also support the definition of material benchmarks, working as part of a team where everyone mentors and supports each other, a place where everyone can excel.

    You won't be alone in your role; you will benefit from close collaboration with other disciplines, working together to ensure that as a 'team' we support each other, You will work closely with the Art Director, Technical Artists and Graphics Developers as well as other Art disciplines to achieve the highest quality. You will also be involved in planning work and lighting performance budgets with the production team.

    As a New Studio, there are excellent opportunities for both personal and professional growth, as we continue to establish ourselves in the gaming industry, you will play a key role in shaping this exciting story

    Requirements

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Shipped one or more games as a Senior Lighting Artist
    • Have proven collaborative skills working across many disciplines
    • An excellent portfolio with recent examples of your lighting work
    • Strong understanding of what makes for successful Lighting in games
    • Proven abilities in creating believable and inviting lighting in games that people can "feel"

    Desirable

    • Experience of working in Unreal Game Engine
    • Experience of creating dynamic/non baked lighting for games
    • Great compositional and traditional art theory skills
    • Solid understanding of material authoring processes for games
    • Good understanding of authoring shader using HLSL or Node Based systems
    • A strong passion for games
