Job Description: Religious Studies Teacher

This position is located in Leicester.

This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate is expected to work full-time hours.

Salary: MPS - UPS3 £30,000 - £46,525 per annum

At GSL Education in Leicester, we are assisting our clients in finding Religious Studies, Philosophy, Ethics, and Humanities Teachers for the upcoming academic year starting in September 2024. There may also be opportunities to start earlier if possible. We uphold high standards of excellence and expect the same from our staff. To be considered, you must undergo our vetting process and participate in an interview with one of our consultants.

Job Duties:

• Plan and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons to students
• Develop and implement curriculum in line with educational standards
• Assess students' progress and provide feedback
• Support students in their academic and personal development
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure student success

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree in Religious Studies or a related field
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Studies

Minimum of a degree in Religious Studies or Humanities

Prior experience teaching Religious Studies preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in educational technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Education
• Experience working with diverse student populations

The role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. Regular working hours are expected, with occasional additional hours for meetings or events.
