    Allen Lane are delighted to be supporting a local authority based in London in their search for a BI Developer.

    The council is expanding its corporate business intelligence and reporting capacity and are recruiting for an experienced warehousing and data management specialist.

    The department employs Business Objects and Microsoft technologies as key platforms and is in the phase of deploying a master data management capability.

    You must have excellent reporting and data warehousing skills and will have the opportunity to train on leading Master Data Management and Microsoft analytical products.

    Please note this is not a remote position, it is hybrid with 2 days per week required on-site in London.

    You will have the following experience and qualifications.


    Excellent proven experience in:
    Ability to maintain and develop complex data warehousesETL techniques (using SSIS or similar tools)

    Handling multiple data sources and reconciling records across systemsWriting complicated functions, procedures and call outs in T-SQL and Procedural T-SQLVisual Studio or similar development platformsSQL Server and SQL – Server Management StudioORACLE SQL/PL-SQL and Oracle Developer or similarSSRSMS Data Quality Services (DQS) or similarAbility to build reports using dashboards, drill-downs and visualisation techniquesExcellent communication, requirements gathering and business analysis skillsGood functional and UAT testing skillsHands on usage of PowerBI and knowledge of Business Objects to PowerBI integrationAwareness of:

    Azure warehousing and analyticsBusiness Objects Series 3/4 administration and support facilities or similarBO universes or similar semantic layersBuilding reports in Webi or similarWhat you get in returnA salary of £55,000 - £63,684 plus a range of excellent benefits.
