Mechanical Fitter
We are looking for Mechanical Fitter for our client in Croydon, London, a manufacturing company for rail industries.
This is a permanent, full time position.

The package for Mechanical Fitter:

36.5 working week;

Mon Thurs 07:00 15:00

Fri 07:00 13:30

- £26k £32k (dependent on experience)

Annual Bonus (pro rata on year of joining)
20 days holiday (pro rata)

Responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter:

You will be primarily responsible for mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey and test of equipment.
Overhaul of cooler groups, transmissions, couplers and engine rafts based primarily in the workshop.
Flexibility of skills to carry out testing, basic wiring and mechanical fitting
You'll also be tasked with maintaining good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements.

To be considered for the Mechanical Fitter role, you will need to have prior experience of mechanical fitting, 4 years minimum experience and rotating equipment.

Additionally, it's crucial that you possess relevant qualification or time served apprenticeshipand ability to learn new skills.

Required skills for Mechanical Fitter:

Read drawings, identify components, assemble and/or repair mechanical equipment
Carry out testing, basic wiring and mechanical fitting
Mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey and test

New Employees must pass a Drugs and Alcohol related Medical upon starting within the Company.
