Description
About the Role The HSE Advisor aids in the development of the company's HSE management system, safe systems of work and associated documentation.
The HSE Advisor monitors the application of safe systems within the company and undertakes inspections and audits etc; Provide support and guidance to comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, ISO standards 45001, 14001, and company policiesProvide safety support and advice to all personnel
Conduct site HSE audits and inspections onsite to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
Investigate incidents / accidents, conduct root cause analysis, ensure corrective actions are captured and tracked to closure and support implementation of Lessons Learned
Safe system of work development – Risk assessment, BASIX, and associated procedures
Conduct, review and implement COSHH, Noise and HAVS Risk Assessments
Monitor and analyse Safety Observations, encouraging participation through actively resolving issues and providing feedback
Support collation of environmental data to support the organisations goals and objectives. Promote workforce engagement in all HSE activities, initiatives, and campaigns
Provide internal HSE training to groups and individuals
Support collation of HSE Statistics to input to various meetings
Attend various HSE related meetings and provide input
NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent
Formal Accident / Incident Investigation Training
Strong knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
Previous HSE experience in a related industry is desirable
Ideally experienced in hands-on operations/site based HSE role but not essential
Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
Possess good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
Competent in risk assessment and risk management
