CNC Machinist & Machine Tool Assembly Technician

Location: Bedford, United Kingdom

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist & Machine Tool Assembly Technician to join our client's team in Bedford. In this role, you will be responsible for producing assemblies and ultra-high precision special-purpose machinery in an innovative environment. You will work on prototype components for build, assembly, test, and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and programme CNC machine tools to mill and turn parts from engineering drawings.
• Operate manual machinery to mill, turn, and grind parts as required.
• Assemble, fit, scrape, and manually adjust high-precision assemblies and R&D test apparatus to micro-tolerances.
• Manage and plan machine tooling availability, including planning for preventative maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the successful production of assemblies and machinery.

Requirements:

• Experince in programming and operating CNC & manual machines.
• Knowledge of Siemens and Fanuc controls is desirable.
• Ability to assemble and manually fit parts, working to micro-tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
