Insulation Installer


LivGreen is the green arm of Ventro Group which has been working with social housing associations and local authorities across the UK since 2013.


Key Skills / Responsibilities:

As an insulation installer you will be responsible for helping to insulate building to ensure they are energy efficient.

The job role of an insulation installer will involve the following duties:

  • Scoping out jobs for material requirements
  • Installs and replaces insulation in buildings and mechanical systems.
  • Reads building plans and blueprints to calculate the quantity and type of insulation materials needed to fulfill job requirements.
  • Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines.
  • Loads and unloads insulation materials.
  • Installs or sprays insulation in attics.
  • Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes.
  • Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed.
  • Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite.
  • Working out volumes of space to be filled and the amount of insulation required
  • Marking out wiring, ventilation and pipework ducts in walls and sealing openings
  • Injecting insulation materials through drilled holes in a specific order
  • Installing EWI, IWI, CWI
  • Checking that all air bricks and flues are clear
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and being aware of health and safety procedures
  • Working onsite, both indoors and outdoors in a variety of buildings, including homes, schools, hospitals and commercial buildings.
  • Following product specifications and completing works as per the specifications
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Level 2 Insulation and Building Treatments (Construction)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Social Housing

  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance


Salary:
£200.00-£250.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Insulation and Building Treatments (required)
