    Job Summary - Head of Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer
    You will play a crucial role in ensuring Saible achieves FCA regulated status, adheres to regulatory standards, and keeps regulatory compliance at the centre of our culture. You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of UK financial regulations, particularly in the fintech sector. You will act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, overseeing and enhancing the company's anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) framework. As an early team member in a startup, you're ambitious, flexible, self-starting, and collaborative.

    Responsibilities

    1. Regulatory Compliance
      - We are already developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to relevant UK financial regulations and industry best practices. You will own, maintain, and develop this program.
      - Stay abreast of regulatory developments and updates, providing guidance to the leadership team on the potential impact on the business.
    2. AML/CTF Oversight
      - Act as the primary point of contact and expert for all AML and CTF matters within the organisation.
      - Help design and implement effective AML/CTF policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
      - Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential AML/CTF risks associated with the company's products and services.
    3. Reporting and Documentation & MLRO
      - Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to regulatory authorities, serving as the MLRO for the company.
      - Maintain comprehensive documentation of all compliance-related activities and serve as a point of contact for external audits.
    4. Training and Awareness
      - Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all employees are well-informed about compliance requirements and their role in maintaining a compliant environment.
    5. Monitoring and Investigations
      - Establish and execute a robust monitoring program to detect and investigate potential instances of non-compliance i.e Suspicious Activity reports.
      - Coordinate the team to address and rectify compliance issues promptly.
    6. Collaboration
      - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and technology, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to compliance.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Proven experience in a mid-level or senior compliance role (SMF16/17 or PSD function) within the UK financial services sector, preferably in fintech and/or payment services.
    • Experience in corresponding directly with the FCA
    • In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations specifically in Payment Services.
    • Strong understanding of technology-driven financial services and the associated compliance challenges.
    • Professional certification in compliance, AML, or a related field is highly desirable.
