    Tax Manager

    Based in Reading, Berkshire

    Hybrid: 3 days/week in the office

    About the Opportunity

    An opportunity has arisen to join the finance team as a Tax Manager. This is a key role to ensure timely and accurate preparation of quarterly reporting of tax calculations and risks to the Sanofi Group, as well as supporting the wider UK & Ireland team for tax related queries.

    The Tax Manager will play an integral part in the simplification of the UK legal structure and provide support to the Head of Tax and Head of A2R. More broadly, there will be some responsibility for preparing statutory accounts and ensuring all round compliance.

    About Growing with usIn this role you will:

    • Deliver quarterly tax figures for inclusion in the IFRS group reporting
    • Maintain the Taxrisk database and SOX controls, reporting any issues to the UKIE Head of Tax
    • Prepare accurate and punctual UK group tax computations for submission to HMRC, as well as local CIR return
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery and submission of various returns such as Plastic Packaging Tax, Payroll Settlement Agreement, Withholding Tax (CT61), Share Scheme Reporting and Short-term Business Visitor
    • Prepare local statutory disclosures under IAS 12 for inclusion in audited UK statutory accounts
    • Initiate and process tax payments for UK
    • Prepare CBCR (country by country reporting) reconciliations to the Group Tax Department for applicable UK entities
    • Liaise with the shared service center to ensure UK VAT reporting is accurate

    About YouTo excel in this role, you will need to have:

    Essential requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
    • Professional qualification in Tax (ATT or CTA) or Accounting qualification
    • Significant post qualification in-house experience in tax
    • Working within a global/complex company structure
    • Understanding of IFRS (in particular IAS 12)
    • UK VAT knowledge and UK tax legislation
    • Excellent IT skills (VLookups, pivot tables etc)
    • Good SAP knowledge
