    The Role:

    We are recruiting for a temporary Cyber Security Officer to join the Information and Cyber Security Team.

    This role will play a pivotal role in the implementation and maintenance of the Cybersecurity & Privacy Control Framework, with the focus on the development and maintenance of a Cybersecurity Defence Strategy. You will be responsible for maintaining elements of the service's Information Security policies and procedures focusing on compliance, governance. This will include learning and taking responsibility for internal audits, ensuring all Information Security incidents raised follow the ISO27001 process, as well as promoting security within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS). You will also will have other delegated responsibilities from the Cyber Security Manager and will also deputise during any absence.

    Working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You may need to work outside of 8am till 5pm depending on projects and the specific nature of the work. You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire [and the Isle of Wight or other local authority], and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
