    New Product Introduction Engineer

    Location: Cambridge

    Salary: GBP30-40k

    Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday

    Start Date: ASAP

    Working for a leading manufacturer within Cambridge, our client continues to innovate and develop products and service to cater for its global customer base across a variety of markets. Due to an exciting phase of growth, they are looking for an NPI Engineer to join their busy Engineering team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the introduction of new product offerings across the product portfolio.
    • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to bring new products to market.
    • Ensure successful introduction of new products by coordinating with various departments.
    • Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers.
    • Analyse and approve suppliers.
    • Work with Sales/Product Management to identify New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
    • Coordinate product compliance testing with Development/Test Technician.
    • Liaise with Approvals Engineer for NPI product approval requirements.
    • Liaise with Marketing team to push products onto websites/marketing channels
    • Help launch the new products to market.
    • Data entry into their ERP system and handle quotes

    Qualifications and Experience:

    The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant engineering/electromechanical discipline. Previous professional experience is desirable but candidates new to their career will be considered.

    Essential:

    • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of attention to detail

    Desirable:

    • Previous experience in a similar role.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (IP ratings, ATEX, etc.).
    • Hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing.

    Person Specification:

    Our ideal candidate will be proactive, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. You should possess excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
