Our global manufacturing client is looking for a Process Engineer.

As a Process Engineer you will ensure the effective operation of manufacturing processes that fall under your span of control.

Through ensuring that all process operating methods are clearlydocumented and maintained up to date, and that the processes are continually developed / improved to ensure that technological advancements can be realised.


Key Duties

  • Ensure that any remakes are investigated through to determination of root cause and that any associated work in progress is verified where appropriate.
  • Review, understand and align the capability of the production processes that they own to reliably and robustly achieve the needs and demands of customers.
  • Have full ownership of the designated manufacturing processes that fall within their area of Jurisdiction and will be accountable for ensuring quality, cost, delivery and Customer service levels are maintained.
  • Own any remakes that have occurred within your designated area of responsibility, ensuring that any immediate containment of additional scrap is implemented to ensure that all risk to additional product is minimised and if possible removed.
  • Ensure that all remakes that have occurred within your designated area of responsibility are fully investigated with initial findings including confirmation of containment reported back to senior management within the first 24 hours of the remake beingraised.
  • Ensure that any Corrective and Preventative Actions that are formally raised are instigated and implemented.
  • Ensure that all remakes that have occurred within your designated area of responsibility are fully investigated and closed to a satisfactory standard.
  • Champion the cause for continuous improvement in exceeding customer expectations.
  • Support Lean processes including 5s and CI activities where necessary.
  • Support the manufacturing operation by reacting to and solving process issues in a timely manner when they arise.
  • Initiate corrective and preventative actions, training plans and process improvements.
  • Ensure all processes, operation instructions and procedures are fully documented.
  • Ensure process controls and measures are identified, implemented and monitored.
  • Continually monitor and reduce scrap levels within your areas of responsibility.
  • Work with the Quality function to develop PFMEA for the processes that are under your jurisdiction of responsibility.
  • Own the introduction of any new capital equipment that is being installed within your area of jurisdiction.
