    MCS Group is partnering with a global solutions company in their search for a Site Reliability Engineer keen to involved in a new greenfield re-architecture project. Working with one of the highest grossing industries in the world, the successful SRE will be helping kick off this heavily backed project built within a scalable micro service architecture.

    Working from day one of the brand-new project, building and supporting environments and pipelines from the earliest stages through testing, staging and production.

    With a good lead-up time on this project it's the perfect opportunity for someone with great cloud and Kubernetes experience hoping to step into their first SRE role, or even offer the time and chance to cross-train into a different cloud provider, if you are currently experienced working with AWS or GCP and wish to strengthen your skills on AZURE this is the role for you

    (Remote - Occasional meetings on-site in Dublin)
    Contract Length months with room for extension. DOE A typical Day:
    • The Site Reliability Engineer will work from day one of this new greenfield project building and supporting pipelines and environments throughout the full product life cycle.
    • The focus will be working across Azure platform, whilst leaning on Kubernetes/AKS to automate the deployments.
    • Assisting the development team working across various tasks including: the setting of production monitors and alerts, building pipelines for software solutions, disaster recovery planning and reporting.
    • Continually improve the company processes and spot opportunities to increase the standards of technology being used.
    You would be perfect for this role if:
    • You have a deep understanding the cloud environments to automate processes and used to manage and analyse the development process.
    • Previous experience working with Kubernetes/AKS, Azure, GCP or AWS.
    • You have a desire to work in a collaborative office environment, given the stage of current development, collaborative whiteboarding will play a massive role in the success of development.
    • You have experience building and maintaining containers for deployment images.
