The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic NHS client helping them find a Communications Officer for a 12-month contract role.
Reporting to the senior communications manager, you will use your brilliant writing and digital skills to promote innovation and news from across our trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Turning a snippet of information into a press release or engaging content for their social media channels
- You will know which channels work best for sharing compelling messages and essential corporate information to keep their staff, patients and visitors informed and engaged.
- Your experience of leading campaigns and excellent marketing skills will help promote some exciting projects.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to turn complex information or jargon into plain and errorfree English
- Lead on the production of the trust's twice weekly staff publication eupdate, liaising with contributors to ensure information is provided in an accurate and timely manner
- Monitor press coverage, ensuring that colleagues are kept informed of significant breaking news
- Prepare regular proactive media initiatives including media releases, tweets, and Facebook posts
Person specification:
- Knowledge/use of ecommunication channels as an engagement tool
- Experience in dealing with media calls
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to turn complex information or jargon into plain and errorfree English
- Understanding of the theory and practice of digital communications analytics and evaluation (such as Google Analytics) to interpret reach and impact of social media
- Knowledge underpinned by theory and experience of digital communications, public relations, journalism, social media and marketing practices
- Strong editing skills with ability to tailor text appropriately to the audience. Ability to write for the web and other digital platforms
What's on offer:
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, you must be able to travel into their office in Hertfordshire. This role will be paying a salary of £37,000-£42000 Pro rata
