- Responsible for maintaining and improving software quality through QA testing and by promoting and implementing a total quality approach throughout the software development life-cycle.
- Develop and administer IT Systems testing plans and processes to ensure information systems products and services meet desired standards and end-user requirements and suggest future quality improvements in line with business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies
- Responsible for the implementation of automated regression tests to improve test coverage.
- Produce test scripts, materials, and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
- Analyse, execute, and document test scripts using agreed methods, standards, and guidelines.
- Study actions and results, suggest action on defects and record defects.
- Update and share reports on testing progress, anomalies, risks, and issues.
- Prepare reports on system quality and metrics on test cases.
- Study and resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for IT Systems testing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure the software being tested functions according to the user requirements and company quality standards.
- Ensure a good level of teamwork, highlighting issues in good time and proactively suggesting solutions to resolve problems.
- Participate where required in the instruction of users on how to use the software / application development.
- Minimum ISTQB foundation Testing Certification
- A minimum of 4 years of practical testing experience.
- Desirable - BSc Hons in Computer Science or Software Engineering Discipline
- Experience building API automated tests using Postman
- Experience in basic SQL queries and backend testing
