Job Summary
What is the opportunity?
To provide Investment Banking services to corporate and private equity clients within the Mining sector
What will you do?
- Assisting in execution of mandated deals
- Assisting in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
- Gathering public information through numerous sources Creating financial model analyses
- Generating discounted cash flow models and other models for valuation metrics
- Building company forecast models
- Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for financings and/or sellside assignments
- Producing and maintaining various databases
- General research
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- University educated or equivalent
- Previous M&A advisory experience (Investment Banking / Accountants)
- Demonstrable Investment Banking transaction experience and a comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic individual
- Good lateral thinker, imaginative, creative and proactive
- Rigorous work ethic
- Works well under pressure
- Strong analytical skills (financial modelling)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Nice to have
- M&A experience within in Big 4 or Investment Bank
- European language skills are favorable
