Description

Leadership & Management:
Play a key ambassador role for the Charity. Play a key leadership role for the Charity, attending leadership meetings as required. Effective line management of all direct reports, ensuring high levels of motivation, retention and performance.


Budget and Financial Management:

To act as a budget holder in setting, monitoring, and managing the department budget Secure significant income in line with hospice targets through, community fundraising, individual donor solicitation, challenge events and corporate giving.


Strategy, Change Management and Service Improvement: Develop and execute a robust fundraising and income strategy aligned with the charity's mission and objectives. To operationally manage the governance and assurance compliance of the department.


Working in Partnership:
Grow the supporter base and unrestricted income through relationship building. Cultivate and steward existing relationships with donors, ensuring long-term engagement and regular giving.

Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, leveraging networking opportunities to expand the charity's reach. Collaborate closely with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising campaigns and initiatives.


Operational Management:

Monitor fundraising performance, analysing key metrics and providing regular reports to the senior leadership team and the board of trustees.

Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in fundraising, sharing insights and recommending innovative approaches to enhance fundraising efforts.

Plan an operational plan of day to day, seasonal and annual fundraising activities, alongside key performance indicators and targets.

Develop the organisations fundraising and marketing infrastructure by enhancing our digital presence, improving donations systems and processes and publishing new and original content.

Broaden the organisations donor database and create data management systems to follow through on donor engagement and donation patterns.

Ensure that the CRM system is properly managed from a fundraising perspective and support the DPO and SIRO as required.

Health & Safety To liaise with the Hospices Health and safety advisor to ensure that income generation activities are compliant


Line Management:
Fundraising Team To line manage charity fundraising and events coordinators and other Fundraising and Income Generation roles as relevant in line with hospice policies and procedures
