This is an exciting opportunity for an Adoption Engineer to join the Technical Team.

The purpose of the role is to support the Technical team to provide a practical and cost effective adoption engineering service for the regional business.

This role involves close liaison with the Local Authority, Highway Authorities, Property Management companies and external consultants.

Producing cost effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions (S104, S106) whilst overcoming specific issues and finding efficient solutions for the region to maintain building
Liaising closely with the Local Authorities regarding technical information for road adoptions (S38 and S278) and manage this effectively maintaining the companies interest at all times
Ensure the processing of all road and sewer adoption agreements are in time and accurate to maintain the regions level of compliance and responsibility

To manage the regions bond portfolio/liability and identify where existing bonds can be eradicated in timely manner to reduce risk of overrun charges.

Managing the transfer of open spaces, play areas etc to Management Companies is swift and accurate and in line with company policy to enhance and build partnered relationships
Ensuring the co-ordination and management of ongoing maintenance issues and remedial works prior to adoption or handover is dealt with professionally and to the highest standards whilst protecting the business interests

Over-seeing and managing the Essex regions owned land risk register and ensuring our legal obligations are carried out whilst protecting the business interests.

Ideally HNC/HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering Related Qualification
Previous experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways or Drainage Authority
Competent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel packages
