This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be entitled to 33 days of annual leave plus 8 days bank holidays.
A bit about the role...
Working closely with Adrian Tucker, our Chief Data & Digital Officer (CDDO), to deliver the mission of the agency the Digital Director will lead provide senior leadership to our Digital function to ensure we deliver a first class, digitised approach to everythingwe do.
Homes England Digital supports the ambitious "levelling up" strategy of the agency by supporting the development and deployment of Digital solutions in order to drive efficiency and ensure customer needs are met through innovative technology.
Digital is also responsible for the delivery of a three year (now in year 2) Evolve programme, which is slated to delivery cross agency digital solutions and removing inefficiency from the agencies process to enable us to continue to deliver the above servicesand react more quickly to new requests.
As a senior member of the Digital leadership team the Digital Director will lead a team of Assistant Directors to delivery the Digital agenda and ensure stakeholders get timely delive of their business needs.
This role will support the CDDO leading overall Digital strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritising information technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future digital products throughrobust and pragmatic governance principles.
The Digital Director will act as a role model for inclusive, inspirational and engaging senior level leadership to ensure that the Digital team aredelivering on their strategic aims by ensuring a smooth transition to the Agency being Digital led.
This will be achieved by creating the right culture and conditions to empower people to work across organisational boundaries, in multi-disciplinary teams,in service of our strategic priorities.
In addition to sustaining relationships to facilitate an Agency wide, transformed digital service the Digital Director will promote new ways of working and technology-enabled innovation, driving and building sustainable digital capability across the Agency,supporting our priorities and developing a culture which is able to build, attract and retain talent across the function.
The Agency is going through an exciting period of transformational change and the Digital Director will play a critical role in this by ensuring the efficiency, delivery and good governance of the Digital strategy.

You will possess a demonstrable track record of leading a digital function and a senior level and delivering performance improvement within a complex, fast paced and ambiguous environment.
You will have significant strategic experience in digital culture change with a track record of driving and delivering commercially focussed, innovative approaches.

Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 in 2020/21 Homes England secured notable housing outcomes including supporting 35,183 completions (Revised target: 37,771), unlocking land capable of providing 170,276 new homes (Revised target: 199,430), supported64,793 households into home ownership (Revised target: 45,137) and enabled 37,224 starts on site (Revised target: 27,668).
