Job summary:


Are you looking for a fresh challenge within community? This could be your first matron role or an opportunity to enhance and develop in your career progression.


We need someone with drive and a passion for quality improvement, promoting high quality, family centred care, which is evidence based and sensitive to the individual needs of the family.


You will be leading community teams across 3 sites to offer assurance that women receive optimum standards of care throughout the pregnancy and post natal period.

You will be working closely with midwifery led units and supporting the home birth service.


Main duties, tasks & skills required:
Manage and lead community team's across three sites.

Act as an effective and positive role model, providing expert clinical advice and support for all staff,

demonstrating clinical leadership and expertise in providing care to families within the community.

Identify and facilitate strategies for service improvement and potential development initiatives.

Implement and follow HR policies to manage sickness, absence and disciplinary matters.

Facilitate effective communication with clients and all staff within the multi-disciplinary team.

Manage and assist in resolving conflict situations and investigate and respond to complaints.

Participate actively in the management of all maternity services.

Participate and lead in quality improvement programmes.

Work collaboratively with the consultant midwives and senior team to advance the maternity strategy.

Participate in the on call maternity rota.

Qualifications:


Essential:


  • Registered Midwife with current live status on NMC register.
  • Evidence of recent CPD.

Experience:


Essential:


  • Significant experience of managing maternity and women's health services.
  • Experience in the community work setting at Band
  • Evidence of significant multi disciplinary working.
  • Proven experience of change management in clinical services.
  • Extensive knowledge of national policies, standards and priorities.
