- Conducting thorough assessments of patients with complex neurological conditions, identifying functional impairments and establishing therapy goals.
- Developing individualised treatment plans based on patient assessments, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Implementing a variety of physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and equipment-based therapy, to help patients achieve their goals.
- Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and strategies for managing symptoms and maintaining progress.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and neuropsychologists, to coordinate care.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Advocating for the needs and rights of patients, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and support.
- Participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of treatment and patient outcomes.
- Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with patients with neurological conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to patient-centred care and rehabilitation.
