We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team who will be reporting directly to the managing director.

The candidate will need meticulous analytical skills and outstanding management abilities to effectively draw out measurable and quantifiable data that can influence business decisions.

The candidate must be capable of leading the finance team in order to maintain the company's day-to-day financial duties.


Key responsibilities:

Tracking, reporting, and analysing budget variancesReviewing the company's financial statements to ensure they are accuratePreparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsRecommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performanceForecasting future financial performancePreparing and analysing budgetsProviding accurate financial reports to managementEnsuring compliance with government regulationsProduce quarterly management accounts and support with year-end complianceReporting to HMRC in regards to VAT, PAYE and CIS obligations, as well as other ad-hoc queriesManaging the team to help with day-to-day finance operations.

Ownership of the sales ledger and self-billing income streamsTaking responsibility for project profitability and producing regular Cost vs Revenue reports for individual jobs.

This includes liaising with Quantity Surveyors to ensure consistent reporting on all job contracts.
