The Role
This is a key member of the Lakeland Commercial Team, helping to shape the future of the business.

The role will manage customer acquisition marketing for Lakeland across the digital and non-digital channels, prioritising profitable customer acquisitionin delivery of the acquisition marketing plans and KPIs.

The majority of Lakeland's acquisition activities are in the digital space, which is where the focus of this role will be, in managing Paid Search, Programmatic, Affiliates, Paid Social and driving the organic search agenda.

The Customer Acquisition manager will manage third party contracts including Google, Microsoft and Digital Marketing agencies.

In addition, you will act as a key liaison across the wider marketing and commercial team, working closely with Digital Trading,Insight & Customer Marketing, and Brand Marketing.

The role manages the customer acquisition team, managing two direct reports, as well as agencies for paid acquisition, SEO and PR


About You


You must have significant experience of customer acquisition, preferably B2C and ideally in a multichannel business with a significant online business.

You'll have demonstrable operational excellence of championing, leading and supporting change in a dynamic business. With proven experience in developing and articulating a strategic plan for a customer acquisition team, as well as clearly translating itinto an executable operational roadmap

You'll be experienced in leading and managing a team to deliver against the plan created

You'll also have experience of managing campaigns across paid activities in the Google & Bing Advertising Suites (search, programmatic)

You have experience delivering paid social campaigns comprising acquisition, brand awareness, and for organic amplification, along with experience of managing and optimising affiliate programmes with the key affiliate networks

You possess strong excel skills and experience developing reporting suites, as well as general computer literacy.

You'll have 3rd party relationship management experience, ideally with media agencies, along with experience of digital analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics

You are commercially astute and poses strong analytical skills, and able to make sense of complex problems quickly with the ability to turn data into simple actions without paralysis by analysis

You can use data to judge effectively which marketing decisions are likely to add value and boost customer engagement/response

You have an advanced level of numeracy with a strong attention to detail

You are extremely well organised and deadline driven, with the ability to plan and juggle multiple concurrent timelines in a fast-paced environment, coping well under pressure

You are a strong self-starter; intellectually curious with a can do attitude


You'll be able to build and nurture positive relationships with key stakeholders across the business, influencing, collaborating and positively disrupting to deliver a step change in performance, with an ability to motivate and lead a team to deliver againstshared objectives and drive performance.

You are a team player, able to collaborate with others whilst positively challenging and welcoming feedback to drive self-improvement.
