    We're seeking a Planning and Community Manager to collaborate with the Head of Town Planning, overseeing Town & Country Planning and Community Consultation policies.

    You'll lead regional Planning & Community Specialists, providing technical support, and driving planning consent delivery across diverse programs.

    Key responsibilities include LPA engagement, relationship building, and strategy with stakeholders, as well as serving as a point of escalation for strategic planning issues.

    The role involves offering consultancy support on town planning and community matters, reporting progress to the Head of Town Planning.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Specialist Advice: Provide technical support and issue resolution to regional planning resources, acting as a consultancy service for Delivery Teams, Shareholders, and Suppliers.
    • Best Practices and Policies : Develop and maintain T&C Planning and Community Consultation policies, processes, and governance, ensuring a conducive environment for planning success.
    • Relationships: Collaborate with the Head of Town Planning to develop positive relationships with Local Authorities, industry bodies, and government representatives to address potential barriers.
    • Planning Appeals : Manage regional planning resources for planning appeals, ensuring governance, monitoring, and appointment of specialist suppliers to maximize success.
    • Planning Performance and Reporting: Work with regional planning resources to produce reports on planning performance for relevant work programs, providing necessary data to the Head of Town Planning.
    The successful Town Planning Manager will have:

    • Significant experience in telecommunications or a similar industry with multiple interfaces.
    • Previous experience in managing external suppliers, setting KPIs, and delivering in dynamic environments.
    • Experience dealing with national and local elected representatives, officials, NGOs, and lobby groups.
    • Degree level education in an appropriate discipline.
    • Associate Member of Royal Town Planning Institute or equivalent.
    • Full driving license and access to own car.
