Job summary:


In this role you will oversee and manage all jobs that are entered onto our TMS by our warehouses and customers and ensure they are carried out based on customer requirements.

You will allocate collections to drivers throughout the day to ensure all freight is collected, communicating with customers on ETAs.

You will also work with colleagues to plan driver' routes for the following day.


Major Duties and responsibilities

  • Managing customer orders and prioritisation based on customer requirements
  • Allocate and manage drivers' collection jobs, requiring good communication and building strong relationships
  • Support your colleagues Transport Planner with local route planning
  • Assist in supporting with day to day driver, warehouse and customer queries and issues
  • Ensure you give a detailed plan and handover for the following shift to allow smooth operations throughout the day
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and productivity of the operation
  • Stand in for colleagues working different shifts or roles for example 12:0021:00 If required
  • Ensure compliance to all legislation for Health & Safety is upheld

Profile

  • Experience working in a transport operation and knowledge of the logistics industry is essential
  • Ability to adapt to changes to meet the demands placed on Miniclipper by our customers
  • Strong communicator and great customer service skills

Technical competencies

  • Previous administrative and transport planning experience is essential
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Adaptable IT skills
  • Experience in using TMS or route planning systems is preferrable.
